Bruce Ryan has designed hundreds of television productions including award shows from the Emmys to the MTV Awards; sitcoms including “Will and Grace” and “All of Us”; music specials for Cher, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston; and Award shows including; Kids Choice, Teen Choice, NAACP Image Awards, Action Sports Awards, Source Awards, stand-up comedy including George Carlin and Chris Rock and most recently, the 39th GMA Dove Awards.
Bruce has also designed many industrials, galas, and special event sets for clients such as: Tommy Hilfiger, Mitsubishi, American Film Institute, Race to Erase MS ’06, and the Key Art Awards. Bruce has the rare quality of being extremely creative for both television and live events. His reputation as a production designer is held in the highest regard in the Hollywood. His dry, witty sense of humor keeps things lively during production.
Bruce is a member of Art Directors Guild, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, UCLA Theatre, Film and Television Alumni Association (Master of Fine Arts), The San Francisco State Theatre (Bachelor of Arts). Bruce is a trustee of the Idyllwild Arts Academy and has the honor of the Film School’s facility The Bruce Ryan Sound Stage named after his involvement with the academy. He lives in Altadena, California with his wife Loren and their two children.
